- Description
- The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide maintenance dredging of the Morehead City Harbor federal navigation channel including Range C, East Leg, West Leg, Northwest Leg, North Carolina State Ports Authority berth areas, and Aviation Fuel and Barge docks. The work will consist of removal and disposal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels and berth areas since the various areas were last dredged. The work will require a hydraulic cutter suction dredge. Dredging depths range from 12' plus 2' of allowable overdepth to 45' plus 2' of allowable overdepth. The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 700,000 cubic yards. The Government furnished disposal area is the Brandt Island upland diked disposal area. The environmental window for dredging is 1 August through 31 March.
