Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source/Justification For Other Than Full And Open Competition The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, sole source, contract with Computrition, Inc., 8521 Fallbrook Avenue, Suite 100, West Hills, California 91304 for software licenses as a logical follow-on to the procurement of Computrition software for the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 511210 Software Publishers, and the business size standard is $38.5 million dollars. The product classification code is 7030 General Purpose Software, ADP, Supplies. The contract will be for a base plus four (4) option years, and the estimated award date is March 9, 2019. The authority to enter into a sole source contract is pursuant to 41 U.S.C. Ã Â §1901 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and this is for supplies and services in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, and specifically FAR 13.501 Special Documentation Requirements, where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE/JUSTIFICATION FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION IS NOT A SOLICITATION, AND QUOTES ARE NOT REQUESTED. A determination by the U.S. Government to not compete this proposed contract modification, based on any responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
