Description
The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre- Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104 is seeking to identify potential sources for future requirement for Workstations on Wheels. These carts are highly mobile and meet the electronic record keeping needs for the CMC VAMC Primary Care, Specialty Clinics and 7E/7W. I. Performance Requirements Equipment Requirements The vendor shall provide all labor, parts, travel, tools, and equipment to perform all delivery, installation, set-up and testing and training for the units using the wireless network, Vista, BCMA and CPRS software, and barcode scanner. The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to support demonstration and trial use of devices using wireless network, Vista, BCMA and CPRS software, and barcode scanner by the nursing staff (end users) to support safe medication administration. All WOWs, COWs, or Flo Carts provided by the vendor shall meet the general requirements as outlined below. Each manufacturer is responsible for ensuring their product meets or exceeds these requirements. Required Specifications: Central control panel for drawer access, power system controls, battery fuel gauge, height adjustments, and light controls Motorized work surface height adjustment (34.1 sitting to 47.5 standing) LCD VESA monitor mount with motorized height adjustment (6 range) Monitor mount also includes tilt, swivel, and rotate features Large work surface area (17 W x 14.3 D) with translucent protective cover Large, fan cooled PC compartment (Dimensions: 17.1 W x 12.5 D x 3.2 H) (4) 5 premium casters with 2 locking casters on front Universal accessory mounting locations on rear of cart and on monitor mount LED worksurface light with adjustable brightness and selectable light color. White or red hue; provides light onto the cart worksurface top while working in unlighted areas Slide-out keyboard tray with 15-degree negative tilt feature and integral wrist rest. Max keyboard dimensions (18.2 W x 7.5 D x 1.6 H) LED keyboard light with multiple brightness levels Mouse surface and mouse pouch on left or right side of keyboard Integral AC power distribution with 6 AC receptacles for powering equipment Cable management area with easy access panels to manage and house excess cables 8ft coiled power cord with hospital-grade AC plug and integrated hook Ergonomic adjustable push handles w/soft-touch grip on front of cart and wraparound handle on sides and rear Includes 4 port USB hub Cart footprint 16 W x 18 D Foot rests on front legs to help reduce fatigue Anti-microbial agents in touch surfaces to help reduce the spread of certain types of bacteria Battery fuel gauge built into control panel interface with visual and audible alerts Tool-less, snap on, battery cover Standard gray/white color scheme Cart and cart accessories ship fully assembled in one box for convenience Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery - Rechargeable, high-efficiency power system; for powering devices up to 175W (175VA); 20A charger; 120VAC true sine output; battery supports long cycle life, fast recharge, and is durable, safe, environmentally friendly and lightweight. Reusable air filter minimizes dust ingestion, improves Fast charging (100% recharge in about 2 hours) Med Drawer Light is included on cart with all electronic locking storage options (1) Removable Two-Tier Cassette with (1) Patient Bin filling rows 2&3 Bin Measures 12W x 5.25H x 11D Mounting adapters that may be configured to support multiple types and models of handheld barcode scanners. Attaches to VESA pattern behind the monitor and places scanners just behind the right edge of the monitor, but within the cart footprint for protection. Universal Wireless mount supports the following brands and models: AccessPoint, Li-Nano, Electric Lift with Keypad Control Monitor Kit, Planar 22 LED, DVI Extended 36 month Warranty Post Award Requirements After award and prior to delivery, vendor shall provide, to the Technical Point of Contact, a complete list of serial numbers for each component of the Computer on Wheels including: cart serial numbers computer serial numbers monitor serial numbers scanner serial number Vendor shall insure monitor serial numbers are visible after mounting to the cart. In the event the manufacturer s nomenclature plate is mounted behind the mounting plate, the vendor shall provide serial numbered stickers affixed in a prominent location validating each serial number These processes will insure appropriate accountability of all components of the computer on wheels, and streamline the incoming inspection process. Manuals The contractor shall provide one (1) copy of an owner s manual for each device. The contractor shall provide five (5) copies of the repair manuals to Biomedical Engineering for use by the designated section responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair. Warranty At a minimum, the contractor shall provide a 36 month manufacturer s warranty on all parts and labor. The warranty shall include all travel, labor, parts, materials, etc. associated with any warranty or emergency repair required.
