Description

Notice of Intent for Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to issue a sole-source a six (6) month Bridge contract to BioMerieux, Inc (the incumbent) for the use of one (1) Vitek 2 Microbial Identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility testing analyzer and one (1) Vitek Mass Spectrometer (MS) analyzer and reagents for William Beaumont Army Community Hospital. The Vitek 2 and Vitek MS are manufactured by BioMerieux and the component systems that interface with the base government-owned BioMerieux, BacT/Alert system. The period of performance is 1 April 2019 - 30 September 2019. This bridge contract is being issued as an interim solution until the long term requirement has been awarded. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 325413, In-vitro diagnostic test substances manufacturing (size standard: 1,250 employees). This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The capability statement shall include sufficient information in detail to demonstrate that the vendor is capable of providing similar analyzers and reagents that are compatible with the Government owned BioMerieux, BacT/Alert system. Vendors that submit a response claiming to have the capability without providing the requested supporting documents will not be considered. The final decision rests with the Contracting Officer.
