Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide Biomedical Engineer Technician Services at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705. 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The Department of Veterans Affairs Durham VA (DURVAMC) has a need for temporary Biomedical Engineering support services. Currently the Biomedical department at the DURVAMC is experiencing severe staffing shortages. The DURVAMC requires five (5) temporary staffing positions to help alleviate the backlog of biomedical services. 2. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS Biomedical Engineering Technicians shall be responsible but not limited to the following: Repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment and instrumentation Inspect and install medical and related technical equipment such as patient monitors, electrocardiographs, blood-gas analyzers, x-ray units, defibrillators, electrosurgical equipment Effectively utilize test equipment to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment. Produce and provide accurate and concise documentation of services in accordance to Joint Commission regulations. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers technical needs. The NAICS 541690 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $27.5 M.
