Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease. The government has a requirement for liquid helium to supply the 11.7T human MRI scanner located in the Advanced MRI Section of the NINDS Laboratory of Functional and Molecular Imaging for the cool down, initial start-up and testing of the 11.7T human MRI scanner during a 12-week period and hereafter on an annual basis. A combined synopsis/solicitation is being issued for liquid helium to support the NINDS Laboratory of Functional and Molecular Imaging.
