Description

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center intends to issue solicitation N5523619R0005 for the execution of the USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG-57) Fiscal Year (FY) 19 Dry-Dock Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) on the West Coast under NAICS 336611. The 10-month availability will include a combination of maintenance, modernization, and repair, and is expected to require a highly capable contractor with substantial facilities, including a NAVSEA certified floating dry-dock, pier and human resources capable of completing, coordinating, and integrating multiple areas of ship maintenance, repair, and modernization, in addition to a workforce of qualified welders with experience in both quality assurance requirements for 5xxx welding as outlined in DM 10-623B as well as NAVSEA Standard Item 009-21. The anticipated contract is considered a supply contract with incidental service elements. The supply being procured is the repaired, mission-ready vessel, which is returned to service with the USN Fleet.
