Description
589A7-18-205 Reroof Building 1 SOW Removal and replacement of clay roofing tile covering the entirety of Building 1. Removal and replacement of TPO roofing. Removal and replacement with TPO of metal standing seam roofing. Removal and replacement of all flashing and repair of masonry parapet walls that have allowed water to enter the building s roof. Inspection, repair/ replacement of built in gutter metal liner. Inspection of downspouts & roof drain piping to ensure absence of obstructions. Removal of existing bird deterrent system and patching of attachment penetrations. Salvage and re-installation of lighting strike system. A field investigation of existing conditions has been conducted to identify decking, masonry parapet wall, and insulation damage. Construction: Will consist but is not limited to, the following: necessary demolition and removal; new and reconfigured parapet walls, new ½ layer of exterior sheathing over existing sheathing, new copper flashing, vent hoods & pipe penetration covers. Clay roofing materials will be replaced with either a synthetic composite look alike material or replica clay tile. In either case the material used must be coordinated and approved by the Kansas Historical Society, this will be completed and conducted by M+HFG with approval from the Facility Director. Design will allow access and Emergency egress to and from the building, with minimal impact to patients and employees. Carefully phased construction and coordination with VA Contracting Officer s Representative (COR)/users shall be coordinated during design. The M+HFG along with Engineers shall make investigations necessary to thoroughly evaluate the area, including interviewing the staff impacted as result of this project NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (07-MAR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
