- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capability of providing ambulance transportation services to Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center(VAMC) and its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The contractor shall provide all personnel and equipment required for the provision of Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support services. The contactor shall make these ambulance services available to the VA as needed, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Oscar G. Johnson VAMC located in Iron Mountain, MI and its six CBOCs serve over 25,000 veterans across the 15 counties which comprise the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and ten counties in northeastern Wisconsin. The Oscar G. Johnson VAMC has the largest patient service area of any VA Medical Center east of the Mississippi River. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621910. All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by Monday, March 11, 2019 to Maureen.Falaschi@va.gov to include the following: Company Experience in providing ambulance services to include number of years and any examples of current contracts in place with government or commercial entities; Customer point of contact information for contracts listed in company experience along with a description of services provided under the contract (types of services provided, volume of trips per year, geographic service area covered); Size of fleet; Number of certified and licensed EMTs currently employed; Ability to provide services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; DUNS number, organization name, organization address, point of contact, business size under NAICS 621910, and socioeconomic status; GSA contract number (if a GSA contract holder); Licensing of ambulances in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes to determine availability of qualified vendors and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please note that this is not a request for proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents.
