Description
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to acquire Regents of the University of Minnesota support for the preparation of the National Taxpayer Advocate (NTA) 4th International Conference on Taxpayer Bill of Rights (TBOR). This requirement will be made on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) and FAR 6.302-1. Period of performance: April 1, 2019 through May 31, 2019. A sole source justification - Simplified Acquisitions has been documented in the contract file in writing. The three-day conference will be convened by the National Taxpayer Advocate hosted by the University of Minnesota School of Law and sponsored by Tax Analysts. The conference will be held in Minneapolis, MN on May 22-24, 2019 at the Walter F. Mondale Hall. Support services includes serve as liaison between Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), other conference cosponsors on all non-venue related activities; provide administrative support, research, conference planning and support to complete all activities related to preconference registration of all conference participants; work with TAS representatives and other cosponsor's points of contacts to develop a comprehensive list of potential conference participants; assist TAS in establishing a process so registration of conference attendees is completed timely and ensure the designated TAS point of contact has administrative access to the registration site; coordinate room block at the Marriott Courtyard and provide 2 additional alternatives. Provide all required Technical Support during all phases of the conference. This includes but may not be limited to: Complimentary wireless internet (wi-fi); Basic audio/video such as: multimedia projectors, screens, video players, monitors, and a minimum of four table microphones, one podium microphone, and three wireless microphones for audience questions; On-site Support staff to manage PowerPoint presentations and microphones to be in the conference room during all presentations; Coordination of setup and logistical support to audiovisual recording vendor as needed; Videotape all sessions throughout the conference including audio; including providing staff in the conference room dedicated to the videotaping process at all times.
