- This is a sources sought notice for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the services described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to Lynn.Pettit@va.gov. Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The capabilities statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather the Government is requesting a short statement regarding the company s ability to provide the services outlined in the draft SOW below. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. SCOPE OF WORK General: The contractor shall provide a service contract for the Hill-Rom Navicare Nurse Call system located at the VA Medical Center located in Dallas, TX, and the Sam Rayburn Veterans Medical Center which are part of the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS). Description of Work: The contractor shall provide all required service, labor, travel, software upgrades, 24/7/365 remote technical diagnostics, support, and parts for the VA software and equipment in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer specifications. Reference below for equipment type and the required service. Contractor shall perform on site visit to conduct accurate scope of equipment prior to contract award. Period of Agreement: Intended period of performance of the contract will be a base year with four (4) one-year option periods. Manufacturer: Hill-Rom Model: GRS 5 Quantity approximately 350 GRS 10 Quantity approximately 35 Dell Workstations Quantity approximately 20 Servers Quantity approximately 5 Requirements: Contractor must provide up to three references of hospitals where they perform an equivalent or greater scope of work. Contractor must provide certification from Hill-Rom regarding their ability to provide remote monitoring and software upgrade support. Hours of Performance: Delivery shall occur Monday Friday during normal duty hours. Place of Performance: VA MEDICAL CENTER in Dallas, TX and Bonham, TX CERTIFICATIONS: The contractor shall certify that that their field service engineers (FSE) are OEM-trained to service the equipment and that they shall provide only OEM manufactured replacement parts. FSE must be certified yearly and carry the documentation. FEDERAL HOLIDAYS: Normal business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The 10 holidays observed by the Federal Government are: New Year s Day Labor Day Martin Luther King Jr. s Birthday Columbus Day President s Day Veteran s Day Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day Independence Day Christmas Day The President of the United States of America may declare additional days as a Federal holiday, and if so, this holiday will automatically be added to the list above. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a Federal holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a Federal Holiday. Documentation: At the completion of each service call or scheduled maintenance, the contractor shall provide a written service report to the primary and/or alternate contact person. This report will clearly indicate the following: date of service name of vendor service technician/engineer type of service performed model serial number VA barcode (EE) number of the component of the system if applicble description of the service completed list of any parts replaced contract obligation number This is a sources sought notice only. The information gathered from this request is for information and planning purposes only and will not be released. This does not constitute a solicitation. No solicitation is currently published, pending, or available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be issued at a later date. Responses to requests for information are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
