Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name Address Point of Contact Phone, Fax, and Email DUNS number Cage Code Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: The Kansas City VA Medical Center is looking to procure custom-molded, plastic medication trays are needed for KCVA Pharmacy s newly implemented system called Kit Check, which is an accurate and fast-tracking mechanism in the management of emergency crash carts and specialty trays/kits. The system should provide greater efficiency through automation in filling and maintaining kits/trays, full accountability of all lot numbers/expiration dates throughout the KCVA site healthcare network, with RFID barcode technology to ensure accurate filling and provides significant time savings for KCVA Pharmacy staff. Plastic fabricated medication trays are compatible with Kit Check. Dividers cannot be solely used for this process because pharmacy staff will need to be able to transfer the medications from the Kit Check System to the medication crash carts by utilizing the trays for easy transfer. Requirements: The medication trays dimensions need to measure 21.5 W x 15.25 L x 5 H and they must be made out of plastic. The design and layout must be customized in a specific way to accommodate the variety of medications stored in these trays. Ideal design for the medication trays: The Kansas City VAMC has an existing Kit Check RFID System in which there are only specific medication trays compatible with this system. All fabricated trays and additional accessories such as rails, dividers, and clips, will be shipped to Kansas City VAMC by the vendor. Medication trays must be compatible with the existing Kit Check system. Grey Market Goods: (a) Gray market items are Original Equipment Manufacturer s (OEM) goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. (b) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. (c) The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract. Accordingly, the VA reserves the right enforce any of its contractual remedies. This includes termination of the contract or, solely at the VA s election, allowing the Vendor to replace, at no cost to the Government, any remanufactured or gray market item(s) delivered to a VA medical facility upon discovery of such items.
