Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Eaton Electrical Engineering Services - MV circuit breakers. EATON is being solicited as the sole source provider for the MV circuit breakers. FSE shipped previous MV circuit breakers via EATON trucking service for repairs. However, the MV circuit breakers were damaged en route to its designation. One MV circuit breaker was damage beyond repair and the other damaged to a point that repair cost was higher than building another. EATON is offering government in-house price for MV circuit breakers instead of typical market value, which is marked up to three times or more in-house price. The Government anticipated to pay more than half the price for repairs to MV circuit breakers. MV circuit breakers are critical to Roybal Campus Generator Plant. Building 10 MV switchgear is designed for EATON MV circuit breakers only. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
