- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is Rail1 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811118 with a small business size standard of $7.50M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2019-03-20 12:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Fort Riley, KS 66442 The MICC End User requires the following items, Brand Name or Equal, to the following: LI 001: Portable height adjustable fall restraint system Portability: must be portable and move with a fork lift. Fork pockets need to be able to accept a 4 inch tall by 8 inch wide fork. Base not to exceed 11 feet wide on the side with the fork lift pockets Maximum Height: cannot exceed 26 feet. Maximum operational height: No lower than 22 feet 6 inches (this is adjustable a bit) Note: The trolley system is used for this measurement. Maximum height reduced: Must be able to go through a door way 11 feet wide by 13 feet tall. Rotation: must be able to rotate 180 degrees while the base remains stationary. Swing arm operational length: 16 foot. For working on top of the Locomotive. Arm Reach: See above spec and adjust arm length to meet requirement Working capacity: needs to be able to hold and restrain a grown individual weighing around 300 pounds. Number of workers at one time: 1 worker at a time Additional Requirements: Fall restraint harness: 2 required with leg straps and stand up D ring Fall cable system: 1 required 30 foot cable self-retracting lanyards with load indicating swivel carabineer.
