- Answers to questions received: 1. What type of duodenoscopes are used at the Richmond VAMC? Do they have a removable distal cap or an Elevator wire channel? Answer: Olympus TJF-Q180V duodenoscopes with an elevator wire channel. They do not have a removal distal cap. 2. Would 12 monthly duodenoscope samples be shipped to the laboratory in one shipment or separately throughout the month. Answer: All samples will be shipped in one batch, monthly. 3. Is this a new requirement, or is there a current or previous contractor that has performed similar services? Answer: This is a new requirement. Previously the testing was performed internally but Richmond no longer has the capability to perform the testing. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-MAR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
