- USGS Idaho Water Science Center window replacement The USGS operates the Newell Building at: USGS Idaho Water Science Center 230 Collins Road Boise ID, 83702 Existing window insulation has failed in numerous windows throughout the facility resulting in windows being foggy and unclear and lacking insulation qualities. Service includes the removal and replacement of insulated glass panes for windows located on both floors and all sides of the building. The scope of this effort is to remove and replace 233 window panes with new insulated window panes. A tentative site visit is scheduled for Monday March 18, 2019 at 0900 local time. If interest in attending the site visit, parties may contact the Contracting Officer identified below by email to be added to the interest list of attendees. The estimated magnitude of this project is under $100,000.00. Payment protection (either a payment bond or an irrevocable letter of credit) will be required; performance bonds will not be required. The Construction Wage Rate Requirements Statute (prevailing wage, formerly the Davis-Bacon Act) applies. The USGS contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract. The request for quotation (RFQ) package, including a detailed statement of work, will be available no sooner than the week of 11 March 2019. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS 2017) code is 238150, hermetically sealed window unit, commercial-type, installation. The associated small business size standard is $15.0M in average (three year moving average) annual revenue. The applicable Product Service Code (PSC) is Z2AA, repair/alteration of office buildings. This immediate acquisition is set-aside for participation by small business concerns and there is no incumbent contractor.
