Description
REQUEST FOR QUOTE COMMUNICATION TOWER RENTAL INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2019-01, effective 20 December 2018. Contractor is responsible for reading the contents of this document and attachments. This acquisition is available for full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 517410 - Satellite Telecommunications, and associated size standard $32,500,000 apply to this announcement. SPECIFICATION The US Geological Survey, Volcano Science Center, requires the lease of antenna space on existing communication towers at least 60 feet tall in Oregon and Washington to enable monitoring of volcanic activity. The USGS also requires the lease of space in the associated radio shelters, located at the base of each tower, to connect a USGS-owned radio to each antenna. The four required locations are as follows: - Davis Peak, Washington - Signal Peak, Washington - Pine Mountain, Oregon - Stukel Mountain, Oregon The Period of Performance is 04/01/2019 - 03/30/2020 plus two Options, making the total Period of Performance to end 03/30/2022. In addition to a quote, as per FAR 52.212-1, offerers are to include a technical description of the services being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation, in particular the specs and locations of the towers.
