Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open basis with the vendor Allentown Inc., 165 Route 526, Allentown, NJ 08501 for Restoration of the Allentown Wi-Com Sensus system 1). Sensus Annual Subscription Service Restoration, Product Code RFID-SVC-0001, Qty 1 ea., 2). Printer, RFID, Ethernet, for 3 x 5 index card, Product Code RFID-0013, Qty 1 ea., 3). Ribbon, Resin, Black 5.16"x1476', 1"Core, for tabletop Printers, Product Code RF1068, Qty 2 ea. 4). Cage Card RFID enabled, non-encoded, 3x5 - Cage card paper stock with imbedded RFID tag, Non-encoded, Product Code RF1067, Qty 1 ea., 5). Wi-Com Sensus Annual Software Maintenance, Product Code RFID-MSW-S, Qty 1 ea., and 6). Wi-Com Sensus Annual Hardware Support and service fee is compiled from the actual total of hardware devices currently in use, Product Code RFID-MSS, Qty 1 each. Allentown Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacture and does not authorize any third-party vendors to conduct maintenance services on their equipment, in accordance with their required specifications, and have certified technicians and parts to maintain the equipment and therefore subcontracting possibilities are not an option. The anticipated period of performance is award date for 364 days. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one source available, no substitutions possible, and replacement parts must be compatible with existing equipment. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. All responsible sources that can provide these services may submit a response that will be considered. The response should include the certification from Allentown Inc., that you are authorized to obtain OEM parts to maintain the above reference equipment. Also provide past performance demonstrating the successful performance of this type of services. All responses in writing shall be submitted to Lawrence Bland Jr. at blandl@mail.nih.gov. All responses received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
