Description
Title: Delta Channel Cross Radial Gate Gear & Bearing Replacement Solicitation Number: 140R2019B0008 This announcement is to small business, 8(a) Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns that may be interested in performing a contract for the Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation. The work to be performed is described below. Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside or proceed with an unrestricted solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $36.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The work is located the Delta Channel, 0.2 miles northeast of Walnut Grove, California in Sacramento County. Interested parties should include the following information in their response: (a) Business name, address, cage code, size classification based on NAICS size standard, socioeconomic classification (i.e. HUBZone and/or 8(a)), and a point of contact; (b) A positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (c) Evidence of your experience performing work similar in type and scope to the work in this announcement within the last five years. The evidence should include: contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts and points of contacts with telephone numbers. Please do not include more than three past projects; and (d) Include attachments cataloging the company's equipment assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate company responsibility and capability to perform required work. All interested parties are encouraged to respond to this notice, by e-mail to rdowning@usbr.gov not later than 1:00 PM PST on 3/28/2019. The information provided in this announcement is all information the Government has available at this time. There are no specifications, drawings, bid packages, or source lists available. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award. PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK A. Transport Government furnished equipment from warehouse to work site approximately 50 miles away. B. Inspection of Government furnished parts. C. Disassemble and inspect hoist assemblies for two, 60 feet x 30 feet radial gates. D. Provide inspection reports of findings for inspections. E. Provide design drawings, calculations and data for the spur gears, design modifications to Government furnished parts and existing parts and equipment to achieve design functionality, including: Machining keyways and set screw taps for Government furnished 14-inch pinions. F. Provide shop drawings of spur gears, drum shafts, intermediate shafts, and modifications to Government furnished parts and existing parts and equipment to achieve design functionality, including: Machining keyways, and set screw taps for Government furnished 14-inch pinions. G. Design, fabricate and install spur gears. H. Fabricate and install drum shafts and intermediate shafts. I. Machine keyways on Government furnished 14-inch pinions. J. Machine set screw taps on Government furnished 14-inch pinions. K. Repair gear cover base bolt holes and replace gear cover base bolts. L. Furnish and install keys for the intermediate shafts and pinion shafts. M. Furnish and install cap screws and dowels for Government furnished ring gears. N. Furnish and install base bolts for Government furnished roller bearing pillow blocks. O. Furnish and install set screws for Government furnished 14-inch pinions. P. Furnish and install new limit switches and associated equipment. Q. Furnish and install hook shaft roller bearing pillow block assemblies with pertinent components and mounting hardware. R. Design, furnish, and install physical bird deterrents. S. Reassemble hoist assemblies for two, 60 feet x 30 feet radial gates using inspected and suitable for service existing parts and new parts furnished by Government and the Contractor. T. Test hoist operations to insure proper operation once hoist refurbishment is completed. U.
