Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Becton, Dickinson & Co. San Jose, CA. The purpose of the contract is for the contractor to provide all labor and materials needed for maintenance of the LSRFortessa Cytometry System. This will be a 12-month contract with Options for additional four (4) years. The BD Biosciences LSRFortessa Flow Cytometer has 18-color capability which allows the user to get more information per cell from smaller sample volumes which saves time and money but is also critical for our clinical applications in which the samples are rare and/or have very low cell numbers to work with. The work involves the analysis and isolation of cells and cell populations from a wide variety of sources. It is available to investigators seven days/week/twenty-four hours/day. BD Biosciences is the only provider that can supply instrument software revisions along with preventative maintenance inspections, technical telephone consulting and unlimited on-site service visits.
