- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking sources capable of designing and developing major caliber guns with auto-handling systems capable of improved rates of fire of both GPS and mission data initialized guided projectiles while maintaining a low radar cross-section. Targeted improvement of interest for mission data initialization is an order of magnitude over current rate of fire capability provided by the MK 45 Gun Mount for conventional unguided Naval large caliber ordnance. Backwards compatibility with conventional unguided Naval large caliber ordnance inventory is not a requirement to avoid adversely constraining innovation. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-MAR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
