Description
The U.S. Government intends to exercise an "Unevaluated Option" for an existing lease for the FBI in New Haven, CT, that the initial term is expiring. The Government will follow the procedures established by the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) by exercising this Option using "Other than Full and Open Competition". The Government requires a minimum of 78,826 ABOA to a maximum of 82,767 ABOA of contiguous office space. There must be a minimum setback of 100 feet from each exterior facade with a secure perimeter, or as currently is in place at the existing leased premises. Parking for 222 vehicles with minimum 72 structured spaces, all within the secure perimeter. The Government will only consider alternative space if it would be economically advantageous to the Government. In the Cost Benefit Analysis, the Government will consider the replication costs, relocation costs including the physical move, and the voice and data systems move, when deciding whether it should relocate or exercise the sole source Unevaluated Option in the Lease. Additional Requirements: 1) Column spacing not less than 20' span 2) Within 1/2 mile of public transportation 3) Must meet all requirements as set forth in a "Request for Lease Proposal". Document to be issued. 4) Please reference Project Number 6CT0071. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is requested. Offered space within the 100 year flood plain shall only be considered if there are no other practicable alternatives. To submit a locations for inspection, contact this office by April 1, 2019. Submissions by other than the Owner or manager of a property must be accompanied by a letter from the owner granting permission to make a general offering of the space.
