Description

DLA Distribution Cherry Point, North Carolina has identified a continued need for distribution and warehousing services which will be advertised under solicitation SP3300-19-R-5003. The scope of this requirement includes all management, personnel, and supervision, in addition to materiel, tools, equipment, transportation and any other items and services to meet the requirements of the Performance Work Statement. The incumbent contractor is Accent Controls, Inc. performing under Contract SP3300-15-C-5004. This contract expires January 31, 2020. D LA Di s tr i bu t i on Cherry Point, North Carolina's p r i m a r y m i ss i on i s to plan, program, manage and execute efficient and effective receiving, storage, inventory, packaging, Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS), stock control, stock selection, issue processing, packing, shipping, and distribution of repair parts and secondary items in support of on-base, local, and worldwide customers. The requirement is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with a five-year period of performance, inclusive of a three-month transition period. The estimated period of performance dates for this requirement are shown below. Period of Performance Dates Performance Period 1: March 1, 2020 - February 28, 2021* Performance Period 2: March 1, 2021 - February 28, 2022 Performance Period 3: March 1, 2022 - February 28, 2023 Performance Period 4: March 1, 2023 - February 29, 2024 Performance Period 5: March 1, 2024 - February 28, 2025 *Includes 90 day transition This acquisition will be solicited unrestricted pursuant to full and open competition under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Contract award will be made on the basis of competition. It is anticipated that contract award will be made in January 2020. The NAICS code and Size Standard are 493110 and $27.5 million, respectively. All documents related to this notice will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments/modifications and/or solicitation postings related to this pre-solicitation notice. There will be no advance notification of amendment/modification/solicitation issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for the issuance of amendments/modifications and/or solicitations. The tentative timeframe for issuance of the Request for Proposal for the above stated requirement is on or around April 17, 2019. A pre-proposal/site visit is scheduled to be conducted on April 29, 2019 and April 30, 2019.
