- Description
- The US Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC-East) Norfolk, VA intends to award a Sole Source contract to IHS Global Inc. to provide Subscription/Licensing for access to Maritime Tracking Data, via Seaweb. The Statuary Authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by Other Than Full and Open Competition is citation 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supply Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Period of Performance is 5/16/2019 - 5/15/2020. The determination has been made to limit competition to IHS Global Inc due to the proprietary support and maintnenace interfaces. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes ONLY, and not a request for a competitive proposal. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, all responsible parties interested in responding to this notice are invited to submit a capability statement by 1:00 PM Eastern, 4/8/2019, that provides sufficient details for consideration by the Agency, via email to: michael.w.stephenson@uscg.mil. All interested sources will be considered. The determination not to compete the contract, based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are NOT accepted in response to this notice.
