- The Veteran s Administration (VA) Office of Research and Development, Service Area Office East in Pittsburgh, PA intends to negotiate on behalf of the Iowa City VA Research and Development based in Iowa City, Iowa. The intent is to sole source to Nikon Instruments Inc., located in Mellville, NY to acquire one Nikon Eclipse TiE TIRF (total internal reflection fluorescence)/STORM (stochastic optical reconstruction microscopy) A1R-HD confocal and STochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy (N-storm) 5.0 Super-resolution microscopic system to include installation and training. The contractor shall provide the resources and services necessary to provide a complete system. The deliverables include: The Contractor shall deliver and set-up the system at the Iowa City Campus. The Contractor will provide training for proper use of the system. The Contractor shall provide system support. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Tuesday, March 27, 2019, (10:00 AM, EST).
