Description

The Northwest Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton, Washington intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price, Stand-Alone contract to support Main Ballast Tank, Superstructure, Sail, Recesses, Sonar Dome, interior and external hull to include commercial blast, non-SUBSAFE Heavy structural repairs and preservation on a SSBN Class submarine. The scope of work requires sound dampening tile removal, lead ballast removal/re-installation, lead bin conversions, structural repairs and nondestructive testing, fit and fair of hatches and fairing covers. In addition, the contract will require Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) SP-6 blast, SSPC SP-I 0 blast, and paint application. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (25-MAR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
