Description
The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre- Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104 is seeking to identify potential sources for future brand name or equal requirement for Workstations on Wheels. These carts are highly mobile and meet the electronic record keeping needs for the CMC VAMC Primary Care, Specialty Clinics and 7E/7W. The brand name item provided for reference is the Howard HI Care Base Cart, P/N 190110-002. I. Performance Requirements Equipment Requirements The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to support use of devices using wireless network, Vista, BCMA and CPRS software, and barcode scanner by the nursing staff (end users) to support safe medication administration. No set up or installation is to be required. Bio-Medical Staff at the Philadelphia VAMC intend to set-up the carts for use. However, should assistance be required, vendor will expected to provide any installation assistance necessary (whether on-site or remotely) to get carts up and functioning as required. All WOWs, COWs, or Flo Carts provided by the vendor shall meet the general requirements as outlined below. Each manufacturer is responsible for ensuring their product meets or exceeds these requirements. Required Specifications: Central control panel for drawer access, power system controls, battery fuel gauge with visual and audible alerts, height adjustments, and light controls. Motorized height adjustment, no lower than 30 sitting, no higher than 48 standing. LCD monitor mount with vertical adjustment with tilt, swivel, and rotate features. Large work surface area with translucent protective cover Large, fan cooled, PC compartment 5' premium casters with 2 locking casters on front Ergonomic adjustable push handles on front of cart and wrap around handle on sides and rear Equipped with steering assist technology Slide-out keyboard tray with 15-degree negative tilt feature and wrist rest. In the event the manufacturer s nomenclature plate is mounted behind the mounting plate, the vendor shall provide serial numbered stickers affixed in a prominent location validating each serial number These processes will insure appropriate accountability of all components of the computer on wheels, and streamline the incoming inspection process. Manuals The contractor shall provide one (1) copy of an owner s manual for each device. The contractor shall provide five (5) copies of the repair manuals to Biomedical Engineering for use by the designated section responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair. Warranty At a minimum, the contractor shall provide a 36 month manufacturer s warranty on all parts and labor. The warranty shall include all travel, labor, parts, materials, etc. associated with any warranty or emergency repair required. Contractor shall provide details of such extended warranty with its offer. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES MUST ALSO HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN THE SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM) DATABASE.
