Description

The Master Musician shall recruit, train, rehearse and schedule all of musicians who will be performing in the multiple chapel services throughout the USAG-RP. The Contractor will ensure that all musicians: 1) shall capably play appropriate preludes, interludes, offertories and postludes in support of worship services and other special events; 2) provide the music and lead congregational singing; 3) perform special selections as identified by the Chaplain in charge of the service; 4) rehearse planned selections with choirs, soloists, groups or ensembles that require accompaniment and will be performing at future scheduled events. To do so, the contractor must coordinate with each of the Chaplains in charge of each service to ensure that the music, style and particular selections fit with the Chaplains intent to provide worship for the congregation. In the past, some musicians have been sub-contracted by the contractor to provide the music.
