Description
The following is a Sources Sought/Request for Information notice. This posted notice is not a Pre-Solicitation or Solicitation document. The government is not currently soliciting bids, quotes or proposals at this time; however, reserves the right to do so at a later date. The Wilkes Barre VA Medical Center is seeking to identify potential sources for future Brand Name or Equal requirement for an advanced system that will allow the WBVAMC improved methods of testing and training improved balanced mechanisms, while also supplying them with objective measures to assess progress. The brand name item for reference is the Korebalance. Equivalent products must have the following minimum required features: A complete system with interactive technology to allow for high-tech balance assessment and training. A platform with 360 deg horizontal and 20 deg vertical range of movement Individually adjustable safety rails that are made of 2 hardened steel, to allow users with different heights and physical abilities Exercise band attachment points Large, stable stepping platform with low step-up height for ease of access and safe mount and dismount. Allow a patient weight capacity of 500 # A large flat panel LCD touch-screen and computer loaded with programs to allow clinicians to accurately and objectively make balance assessment. Include standardized balance tests to include: Romberg, the mCTSIB, and Limits of Stability tests. Ability to perform both Static tests as well as dynamic tests Interactive 3-D training programs and games 16 variable stability settings utilizing a pneumatic pressure system to adjust for varying balance abilities. Engage all three peripheral balance systems (vestibular, vision, and proprioception) Patient safety support belt Safety & Certifications: EN60601-1 & UL60601-1 Medical Electrical Equipment Certification, FCC Class B, CE, RoHs-WEEE, Energy Star 5.0 Include a standard warranty.
