- THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information & Technology VA has a potential requirement for access to a database that lists all of the Critical Access Care Hospitals, to include payment data. This database will ensure timely and efficient payment to providers external to the VA. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) program is a federal designation given to health care facilities that met certain federal criteria. The program was established through legislation enacted as part of the Balanced Budget Act (BBA) of 1997 through the State Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program (Flex). The criteria include: Located in a state with an established FLEX program; Located in a rural area or an area treated as rural under federal guidelines; Provide 24-hour emergency care services; Furnish no more than 25 acute care inpatient beds and include the following provisions: That the facility provides no more than 25 inpatient beds that can be used for either inpatient or swing bed services, and/or; To include a separate provision for up to 10 additional rehab or psych beds in a distinct part unit. Possess a length of stay averaging no more than 96 hours; and Meet Geographic conditions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the VA to contract for any supply or service. Further, the VA is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The VA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Governmentwide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Governmentwide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The anticipated NAICS code is: 518210 Data Processing, Hosting, and Related Services and size standard $32.5M. Responses should be as complete and informative as possible. It is requested that interested offerors respond to the following questions:. Responses: If you can provide the necessary supplies or services, please respond to this RFI with the following information: a. Briefly discuss your technical capability to meet the requirement, including: How you receive your pricing data on Critical Access Hospitals? How often is your pricing data updated? How is the data sent to potential customers? I.e. excel, word, etc. Please provide a sample printout of the data, if available. Provide a pricing estimate for an annual subscription (or other pricing options, if applicable) c. Identify your socioeconomic category (SDVOSB, VOSB, SB etc). f. Identify if you have a General Service Administration (GSA) or NASA SEWP contract by providing the contract number.
