- Amended 01 Apr 2019: The RFI is amended to include clarification on the programs/systems related to the attached documents. The notice details below, and the attached RFI document are updated. This notice is unrelated to the competitive Small Business Set-Aside Source Selection for the Multiple Award Contract for Modifications issued by this contracting office. The anticipated work covered under this indefinite delivery vehicle would be for that work which is considered proprietary and sole-source to Sierra Nevada Corporation. The deadline to respond is unchanged. The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise and capabilities for unique modernization and sustainment of the SOF/PR C-130 weapon system to include efforts such as hardware and software design, development, integration, test, sub-system and structural component production, and installation of future modifications and enhancements to the SOF/PR C-130 weapon system as well as product support. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined. The Government does not currently own or have access to the complete technical data package necessary to perform this work; therefore, the Government has determined that this effort is not competitive due to unique nature of the potential work. This Request for Information pertains all modifications, installations, kits, and engineering services that are proprietary to Sierra Nevada Corporation which includes, but is not limited to, the Precision Strike Package (i.e., the Mission Operator's Pallet, the Ballard Box, the Standoff Precision Guided Munitions (SOPGM) Door) and its controlling software, Airborne Mission Networking system, MC-130J Link 16, AC-130 Mission GPS System, etc. Original Notice Details: The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise and capabilities for unique modernization and sustainment of the SOF/PR C-130 weapon system to include efforts such as hardware and software design, development, integration, test, sub-system and structural component production, and installation of future modifications and enhancements to the SOF/PR C-130 weapon system as well as product support.
