Description
This is a sources sought notice to determine the availability of potential sources capable of providing an upgrade to Computed Tomography (CT) equipment in accordance with the DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) attached. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The upgrade shall provide hardware and software that upon installation is fully compatible with the existing North Star Imaging x500 equipment. Solicitation of this requirement is intended to be on a brand name or equal basis. The recommended brand name is North Star Imaging, Inc. Specific Software Capabilities/Salient Characteristics are as follows: (see attached PWS) Software o Vortex “ ability to scan elongated objects into a single exposure, increasing magnification and resolution; also eliminates cone beam artifacts. o Mosaix “ ability to expand the imaging field to form a seamless image not limited by detector size. o Subpix “ ability to generate images with improved resolution typically double of detector alone. Hardware o 200 Micron Flat-Panel Perkin Elmer Detector. o 4G Ultimate Reconstruction Machine. The required delivery date including installation is on or before September 30, 2019 in Suitland, MD. The contractor must also provide onsite training on the new equipment and a one-year warranty. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated. The Government intends to use the policies contained in FAR 13.5 or FAR 8 (GSA), in its resultant contract or delivery order for the product described herein. Interested sources shall identify their capabilities and how their equal product meets the requirements of the DRAFT PWS. The interested source shall provide a breakdown showing all the specifications for the proposed equal product. All submissions are required to be submitted via e-mail to robert.g.keating@navy.mil no later 4:00 PM (local time/Philadelphia, PA) on 12 April 2019.
