Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is NICHD-19-052 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-99. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000 employees. However, this solicitation is not set aside for small business. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to contract on a sole source basis with Sony Biotechnology of San Jose, CA to procure the following: 1. Product Code: LE-C3210 - Sony SH800/MA900 Sorting Chip-100um (box of 40), Quantity (4) EA 6. Product Code: LE-C3100 - Sony SH800/MA900 Cleaning Chip (box of 40), Quantity (4) EA 7. Product Code: LE-B3001 - Sony SH800/MA900 Automatic Setup Beads Kit, Quantity (1) EA 8. Product Code: AE700713 - 10X ClearSort Sheath Fluid, Sterile, Quantity (1) EA 9. Al1 On-Site Support when applicable Project Background: This lab studies the genetic and environmental mechanisms that regulate initial interneuron fate decisions in the embryo and prenatal mouse brain. We perform numerous single cell (and nuclei) sequencing experiments and cell transplantation assays that require the use of a cell sorter to harvest fluorescent cells/nuclei for these downstream applications.
