Description

Montana VAMC Records Storage Records Storage Facility SHALL be a NARA compliant Facility BACKGROUND Montana VA currently has approximately +295 boxes of records stored in a Miles City off-site facility. Miles City currently provides storage. Records are destroyed at the end of a record s retention period. We follow a destruction audit trail with Certificates of Destruction to document when records are destroyed, and records are destroyed in such a way as to retain confidentiality. SCOPE The scope of work is to provide a safe and secure location in which to store records for Montana VA. While the records that are inactive are stored off-site, there are occasions that we need to access certain boxes for legal or other purposes. The contractor is to provide this safe and secure storage with the ability for Montana VA to access records when needed, have records retrieved and delivered to the Montana VA, and pick up new records and enter into the contractor s system, enable Montana VA to access the inventory when necessary, and provide access to document destruction vendor to destroy records when requested by Montana VA. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-APR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
