It does not constitute the issuance of a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The Medical Service at the James A. Haley (JAH) Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has requirements for ablation catheters (brand name or equal) for use with the Biosense Webster CARTO 3 catheter mapping system currently in use at the hospital. BACKGROUND: - JAH VA Hospital currently uses the Slow Flow and Smart Touch Technology with its CARTO 3 Mapping System; it has been found to be the latest and safest technology. The ablation catheter system allows the doctor the most accurate pressure reading which is imperative in ablation procedures. The Slow Flow delivers cooling water at a slower, more controlled rate affording a safer ablation procedure. - The Pentaray Technology allows for multi-point ablating, thereby saving time and significantly reducing exposure to harmful radiation. - The SMS and GE 10F Ultrasound Catheters are used to enhance the accuracy and visual of the procedures.
