- APFS FY19 3rd Quarter Notice: The United States Coast Guard, Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC) Construction is the procurement hub for Coast Guard civil engineering. SILC is fully committed to fulfilling our duty to stakeholders by focusing on optimal lifecycle stewardship of Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure through innovative, sustainable, and affordable solutions. SILC Construction procures a wide variety of requirements and services including construction and maintenance of shore facilities, architect and engineering services, and environmental compliance, restoration, and remediation. We are committed to small business participation in our acquisition programs to support the mission of the United States Coast Guard. SILC Construction posts its upcoming forecast of opportunities on the Acquisition Planning Forecast System (AFPS), which is a database that captures information regarding potential Department of Homeland Security (DHS) procurements. The Forecast allows industry, especially small businesses, the opportunity to view projections of all anticipated opportunities estimated to exceed $250,000. APFS identifies upcoming forecasted, but not necessarily funded, opportunities at http://apfs.dhs.gov/. Information on this site is organized in a manner to permit various data sorts, and the individual items include descriptions of requirements. One way to search APFS is by NAICS Code. Among the most widely used NAICS Codes at SILC Construction are 236210, 236220, 237990, and 541330. APFS records for FY19 were posted effective 31 August 2018. Please continue to monitor APFS throughout the year for any new requirements that may be posted.
