- The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office (NPS, NER, NE-MABO) is considering issuing a solicitation for providing and installing reproduction ALUMINUM CAST CANNON CARRIAGES for 3 and 4 pound Revolutionary War era cannons located at Saratoga National Historical Park, Stillwater, NY. The requirement will be subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332999, All Other Miscellaneous Metal Product Manufacturing (SBA size standard is 750 employees). Specific objectives for such a project may include: Manufacture and install light field type cannon carriage for two (2) three-pounder cannons with options to manufacture and install light field type cannon carriage for up to two (2) four-pounder cannons. The NPS, NER, NE-MABO is conducting this Sources Sought to identify business contractors who possess the sufficient availability, capability, and adequacy to provide the items as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). If your firm is interested in this requirement, we request the information shown below. As permitted by FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy for a possible solicitation to be issued later. Additionally, your responses will assist the NPS, NER, NE-MABO in determining whether any type of small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the Government to issue a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request, so proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Response is strictly voluntary - it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in any formal solicitation process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitations posted as a result of this sources sought notice. Submission Instructions: Responses via email are due no later than 2:00 pm Eastern Time on April 24, 2019 to david_barceleau@nps.gov and must include the information requested below. Late responses may not be accepted. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain any questions. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
