Description

****NOAA's Acquisition & Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Boulder, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with OTT HydroMet. ****The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS), Office of Weather Prediction (OWP) and its need for annual preventative maintenance for its Eaton, Model 9395-275, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system at their Tuscaloosa, AL location. The National Water Center has a UPS System (Eaton Model #9395-275: capacity 240KW, 300KVA, 240 battery cells) that provides a power bridge between their utility power and their generators in the event of losing utility power. This protects the data centers, cooling equipment, security systems, as well as most desktops and laptops. This utility component is critical in protecting its IT equipment located in two separate data centers within the building. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (16-APR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
