THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors to Expand the Operating Rooms in Building 47 for the Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. The proposed NAICS 236220 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $36.5 Million. Estimated cost of construction: Range: $7,000,000 to $10,000,000. Estimated time of work: Submittal process 90 days; Construction 540 days. General: The project will Expand and Renovate the Operating Rooms in Building 47 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Existing space is 5000 GSF on the 2nd floor of Building 47. Project will expand on to the roof including the requisite structural modifications. Project constructs 8,135 GSF of new space onto the 1st floor roof of Bldg 47, outside the existing Operating Room suite. The project constructs a total of 7 Operating Rooms; 5 OR's to replace existing 5 OR's to bring them up to current standards and 2 additional Operating Rooms (to fill space gap for Operating Rooms). The project also renovates approximately 5,000 GSF of the older Operating Room suite where the existing 5 Operating Rooms exist. Work includes the disciplines of architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural, as well as some asbestos removal. The existing space in Bldg 47 where the old OR's are located (approx. 5000 GSF) will be upgraded to meet the seismic requirements for this area and reduce the seismic deficiencies of this part of the building. Interior work will include demolition of walls and doors of existing space, install new sheetrock/metal stud wall, wood doors/metal frames/hardware, new flooring, new ceilings, electrical work to include power, LED lighting, data, new mechanical work includes, air handling systems, ductwork, and controls.
