- SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and supervision required to accomplish the following: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall clear and remove all undergrowth and overhanging trees, brush/limbs, and vegetation to provide clear line of sight so future maintenance can be accomplished with afinished mower. 1. Paradise Pt Service Roads (General area of Seth Williams Blvd - See 5 Maps) (approximately 7.5 miles) 2. Bldg 575 Security Fence (approximately 1,691 LF) 3. Bldg A66 and A11 Security Fence (approximately 2,145 LF) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Vertical cut any brush and limbs that extends into the areas to be cleared up to a height of 10- 12 feet. All trails shall be cleared of vegetation not to exceed 8 feet from center of asphalt to hard tree line on BOTH side of trail edge, boardwalks and drainage ditch (total 16 feet clearance) to the hard tree lines. Trees and brush shall be cut between 2 6 in height. 2. Hand trim vegetation around bridges, fences, poles and any permanent structures located within the cleared areas. 3. For this Scope of Work, hard tree line is defined as trees with a diameter greater than 3 inches. All hard trees lines shall be left in place. 4. All live or dead trees, logs, limbs or branches resting on the ground at the shoulder or in the drainage ditch shall be placed at least 10 feet into the tree line. Vegetation that is mulched may discard into surrounding wood line at a minimum of 10 feet, ensuring not to leave in piles or discard into drainage ditches. Any vegetation removed from the site shall be removed in accordance with Special Instructions. 5. Before beginning clearing or cleaning operations, the contractor shall block off with a physical barrier, such as extended saw horses or caution tape, at all entry points to the work area to keep personnel from being exposed to the clearing and cleaning operations. Signs shall be posted at the barriers warning personnel that the area is closed for maintenance. While working on gravel areas, the contractor shall provide personnel to direct traffic around the work area. The contractor shall provide traffic control (i.e. cones, flagman, signs, etc.) sufficient to prevent injury to personnel, damage to property, and allow for safe flow of traffic. Notify the Base Provost Marshall s Office (PMO), 451-3004/3005, prior to detouring or re-routing traffic. 6. All grounds disturbed by the contractor shall be repaired by filling with clean topsoil, raking, reseeding, grading, and compacting. Seed with Coastal Lawn Mix applied at a rate of 50 pounds/acre. Disturbed areas include but are not limited to ruts, holes, gouges, scrapes, scratches and tire tracks. 7. Contractor shall remove all trash that is laying within areas where work is being performed on a daily basis. The contractor shall clear all dirt, pine straw, and debris over the length of the entire trail and all debris that will interfere with future mowing operations. No equipment or material shall be stored on the work site without specific permission from the project manager or the performance assessment representative (PAR). The contractor shall ensure that all areas and systems contiguous to the work site remain undisturbed, or are returned to its original condition and operation as soon as practical. SPECIFICATIONS FOR PARADISE PT (AMCC): WO#4879293 1. Contractor shall clear along the Service Roads, Jogging Trails and along Seth Williams Blvd. a. SERVICE ROADS WOOD LINE side only b. PHYSCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (MCO P5530.14): Fence must be kept clear of visual obstruction such as vines, shrubs, trees, etc. Vegetation will not exceed 6 inches in height, Interior clear zone shall not be less than 30 feet trees and/or limbs located outside of and within 15 feet and at least 20 feet outside of perimeter barriers. 2. Call POC(s): Sergeant Kevin Simek 450-5836 letting them know work start date and schedule. SPECIFICATIONS FOR BLDG A66 and A11 SECURITY FENCE: WO#4876561 (A66) and WO# 4876563 (A11)-Child tkt 1. PHYSCIAL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS (MCO P5530.14): Fence must be kept clear of visual obstruction such as vines, shrubs, trees, etc. Vegetation will not exceed 6 inches in height, Interior clear zone shall not be less than 30 feet trees and/or limbs located outside of and within 15 feet and at least 20 feet outside of perimeter barriers. 2. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Vegetation that cannot be mulched shall be weighed at the Base Sanitary Landfill located on Piney Green Road and delivered to the Recycling Center on Piney. Green Road (across from the Landfill). Hours of operation: 0730 AM-1530 PM, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
