Description
The purpose of this program is to provide a replacement of the current Arm Disarm switch used on the Minute Man (MM) III weapon system. The switch will be a fit and function replacement that will drop in and maintain backwards compatibility with the weapon system and support equipment. It is the Government's desire to have a cost-effective, low-technical-risk switch design. This contract action is intended to be conducted as a Multiple Award IDIQ (MAIDIQ) contract. The ordering period of the contract is anticipated to be Dec 2019 to Dec 2029. It is the intent of the Government to award an initial task order to all participants for development and qualification activities. The timelines for these activities are as follows: All preliminary design review (PDR) activities shall be completed NLT 10 weeks after contract award. The contractor shall produce 25 production units for testing purposes NLT 12 months after contract award, and shall finish qualification testing NLT 18 months after contract award. The Government intends to compete future production delivery order(s) among only those participants with qualified switch designs. The intent of the program is to procure enough switches to meet Government supply needs. IAW FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to restrict participation to only those sources who were able to comply with Government schedule requirements. The intended participants are: • Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) • Moog Space and Defense Group (Moog) • Bionetics All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be made available to interested parties through the FBO website. Certain restricted technical data documents required to respond to the solicitation will not be furnished as part of the solicitation. Interested parties can request these documents by providing a completed DD Form 2345 to the Government POC(s).
