Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the Academic Pediatrics Association for the production and publishing of a 100-page supplement on increasing vaccination coverage among children and adolescents in the journal Academic Pediatrics. Academic Pediatrics is a unique journal in its readership, authority among pediatric professionals, and high subscription rate. The editor of the journal is a national expert on vaccine program implementation. Targeted stakeholders of this supplement, including pediatricians and family physicians, federal, state, and local public health program staff, policy makers, health plans, schools, government entities, and other vaccine stakeholders, are well-represented by its readership. Academic Pediatrics is the only known journal with these unique characteristics. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
