Description
INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using design-build selection procedures for the project Site Prep for DR Rooms OM, LIN, GI at the Omaha, Lincoln, and Grand Island NE Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will provide Design-Build services to renovate and site prepare multiple rooms for the installation of new Samsung Digital X-Ray Radiography Systems in Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island NE. The Contractor shall completely survey all existing spaces affected by the renovation. Survey shall include architectural, electrical, mechanical (including medical gases), structural, and low voltage systems. Contractor shall not rely on Samsung equipment drawings to provide existing conditions, but shall verify. The Contractor shall meet with site staff to review details of the equipment drawings and to gather comments after each design submission (SD, DD, CD). The Contractor shall include Facilities Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Imaging, and Samsung in all design meetings. The Contractor shall also plan for a kick-off meeting with Facilities Engineering, Biomed, Imaging, and Samsung to walk the site, pull as-built drawings, more specifically set design requirements and understand the full scope of the project requirements. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 8th, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $ 250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
