Description

The Navy Wounded Warrior (NWW) Adaptive Sports and Recreation program provides a platform for active and veterans service members from the United States Navy and Coast Guard to participate in adaptive sports and recreational activities within their individual limitations. In June 2019, Navy and Coast Guard service members will participate in the annual Department of Defense Warrior Games in Tampa, Florida. During the Warrior Games, service members will compete in up to 13 sports which include: archery, cycling, field, indoor rowing, powerlifting, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis. The Contractor shall provide personnel to act as coaches, as well as certain support personnel for each Warrior Games adaptive sport throughout the planning and execution phases of the Warrior Games. Provide 22 coaches for the training camp and 5 coaches for the Warrior Games categories to support up to 45 participants. Athletes are Wounded, Ill, and Injured service members with ranging from Warrior Games classifications 1-6. Contractor should provide consistency of coaches provided to the best of its ability for the two CLINS.
