- Description
- Project Description: The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is a facility owned by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Science and Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), managed and operated by The Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC in Golden, Colorado and is the DOE's primary national laboratory for renewable energy and energy-efficiency research and development. NREL develops renewable energy and energy-efficiency technologies and practices, advances related science and engineering, and transfers knowledge and innovations to address the nation's energy and environment goals. NREL is currently seeking a partner in the design and build of a production prototype semiconductor deposition system (D-HVPE deposition system). This document invites responses from all potential partners ('sources') globally in meeting NREL's required D-HVPE Deposition System. Sources that submit responses to the qualifications below will be considered by NREL's technical and selection team based on the response provided. Sources that are deemed qualified will then be invited to provide more information for consideration in the selection of NREL's final partner in this endeavor. The goal of the overall program is to design, build and install a production prototype deposition reactor capable of producing high-efficiency III-V materials and devices with very high throughput. The Request for Qualifications Statement is expected to require firms to demonstrate an exceptional Technical Plan and extensive Experience and Capability of qualified employees/team members. Firm is defined as the company submitting a qualifications statement.
