Description: This requirement is for a U.S. or foreign flagged, self-sustaining, container vessel capable of carrying a minimum of 397 ammunition TEUs with a net explosive weight of 518,603 pounds while satisfying all applicable regulatory segregation and compatibility requirements. Vessel must provide certification showing that each stow area above and below decks is certified to carry ammunition classes 1.1 - 1.4 (all Divisions) per the vessel's Document of Compliance for the Carriage of Dangerous Goods. Vessel must be capable of 13 knots minimum when laden. Vessel must not exceed a maximum overall length of 304.8 meters or 1000 feet, and a laden draft of 9.5 meters or 31 feet. 17. The place/range of delivery is Chinhae, South Korea and place/range of redelivery is the Military Ocean Terminal, Concord, CA (USA). The layday commences and cancels 22 May 2019 and the charter period will be about 34 days. 18. Set-aside Status: N/A. The decision to release this solicitation as "Unrestricted" is based on responses received from a recent market survey for this service. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. MSC's Deputy Associate Director of Small Business has concurred with this assessment.
