Description
Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic intends to award a sole-source contract to Federal Custom Cable, 1891 Alton Parkway, Irvine, CA 92606 to procure the following components: 1. AC130J-R301; CBL ASSY 17-09-060-10 Rev A; QTY: 12 2. AC130J-R302; CBL ASSY 17-09-060-10 Rev A; QTY: 12 3. AC130J-R307; CBL ASSY 17-09-060-10 Rev A; QTY: 12 4. AC130J-R309; CBL ASSY 17-09-060-10 Rev A; QTY: 12 5. AC130J-R310; CBL ASSY 17-09-060-10 Rev A; QTY: 12 6. DCB1121-DC; BLK TNC (M-F) In-Out 18GHZ; QTY: 12 The above components are currently fielded within the Joint Threat Warning System (JTWS) Air Heavy variant systems and meet specific critical design, functional and operational requirements necessary for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) mission support. The components have passed environmental testing (MIL-STD-810G), Electromagnetic Interference / Electromagnetic Compatibility testing (MIL-STD 461E) and have been approved to be safe for flight by AFSOC. Federal Custom Cable is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these components currently installed within the JTWS system and are currently the only approved components that provide existing form, fit and function requirements for the JTWS Air Lite system. The authority for soliciting from a single source is FAR 13.106(b)(1). The Government anticipates the award of a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under authority of FAR 13.106-2. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
