- Sources Sought -The US Army, Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Project Manager Crew Served Weapons (PMCSW), located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for a Laser Borelight System (LBS) compatible with the M153 Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) Boresight Kit. Any end item proposed to meet the government requirement must meet all the requirements of the specification GPSEC00009. The production requirement for a LBS is for an estimated maximum quantity of 1500 units over a 5 year period of performance. This notice is to determine if there are potential sources capable of fabricating the required LBS using a variety of manufacturing techniques in accordance with GPSEC00009. This notice is also to obtain information regarding industrial capability on production rate. GPSEC00009 can be requested in writing or email to the contract specialist listed in this notice. Vendor Questionnaire: The purpose of this questionnaire is to obtain information from industry to assist the Government in further enhancing the current market research available for the Boresight telescope. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest and capability to satisfy the above requirements by identifying the following items: 1. Company Name 2. Company Address / Country Represented / Website 3. Company point of contact and phone number 4. Business Size (Small/Large & Number of Employees), CAGE Code and DUNS Number. 5. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 333314 (All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing). 6. Do you currently produce an item that meets all of the requirements of the GPSEC00009? 7. Do you currently produce an item that meets most of the requirements of the GPSEC00009 and can be modified to meet the remaining requirements? If so, which requirements do you currently not meet and what would be the minimum quantity necessary for you to undertake modifying your item to meet all requirements while maintaining a competitive price? 8. If you do not currently produce an item that meets all or most of the requirements of the GPSEC00009, are you capable of producing an item that meets all of the requirements of the GPSEC00009? If so, when would you be able to begin serial production? 9. Are you willing to submit a no cost bid sample to the government for testing against the GPSEC00009? 10. Location where primary work will be performed (if more than one location, please indicate the percentage for each location). 11. Major partners or suppliers. 12. Identify existing facilities, equipment and workforce (identify what percentage would be supporting this new effort and what additional resources would be required). 13. Provide minimum and maximum monthly production rates of past production of same or similar items. 14. Is there a minimum quantity of units below which it would not be feasible to start a production line of an end item meeting the requirement? 15. What is the unit price for your item that meets all requirements of GPSEC00009, if applicable? What is the estimated unit price for your item that meets most of the requirements of GPSEC00009 after modified to meet the remaining requirements? 16. Does the proposed end item contain any hazardous material/gas? 17. What would be the approximate lead time from Date of Contract award until serial production of the first unit? 18.
