- Description
- The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the IWRP Consortium, and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. This notification is not a Request for Prototype Projects, but information provided for planning purposes only. A project will not be awarded from this announcement. Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic will announce a Request for Prototype Projects through the Information Warfare Research Project (IWRP) Consortium. In order to obtain more information regarding the below projects, you must be a member of the IWRP Consortium. For more information on becoming an IWRP consortium member, please visit https://www.theiwrp.org. The majority of these projects will be briefed at the IWRP Consortium Quarterly Industry Day on 14 May 2019 in Charleston, SC. or presented virtually in a short time thereafter. More information on the QID can be obtained at https://www.theiwrp.org. The Government anticipates twenty-one (21) projects to be solicited via N65236-18-9- 0001 - consisting of the following: 19-LANT-0020 Maintenance Repair and Operations Software This prototype opportunity seeks researching software solutions to manage fleet vehicle data in a large geographically dispersed system. The prototype is responsible for the coordination of a large variety of tasks associated with fleet management including maintenance, operations, logistics/supply chain, training and more. 19-LANT-0041 Information Warfare Watchstations (IWS) This prototype opportunity will allow Battlespace Awareness (BA), Assured Command and Control (C2), and Integrated Fires an opportunity for further development of better information integration tools to maximize capability effectiveness as the pace and scope of information-related aspects of the modern battle field increase. 19-LANT-0051 NSC Virtualization - The Government seeks to prototype update eleven Network Support Centers (NSC), replacing the current hardware with a resilient virtualized Information Assurance suite that will offer intrusion prevention systems, firewall, VPN termination and routing. Further, the Government also seeks to modernize the static full mesh VPN architecture, and migrate toward Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) design. 9-LANT-0052 Network Keyboard, Video and Mouse (KVM) Solution - Network Keyboard, Video and Mouse (KVM) Solution The Government seeks a modern, robust KVM solution that will meet the security and access requirements that we need. 19-LANT-0053 Cyber Situational Awareness and Comply to Connect - The Government is looking for an integrated suite of automated cyber capabilities to provide Enterprise Cyber Situational Awareness and Comply to Connect capability. The desired outcome is automated "real-time" discovery, reporting, and dashboarding of clients, servers, devices / peripherals, and network devices connecting to, connected to, or disconnecting from DoD networks. 19-LANT-0055 Logistics Management Disconnected Ops - The Government is seeking innovative solutions to allow operation of an integrated, distributed logistics capability (plan, manage, execute, and monitor logistics business processes and sub-processes) in latency and/or bandwidth limited environments (disadvantaged networks) and in environments where there is no internet (disconnected mode). 19-LANT-0056 Enterprise Logging Layer - The Government is seeking a means to meet regulatory logging requirements in the form of an Enterprise Logging Solution to log, store, and process messages for analysis and monitoring, at Network Operations Centers. 19-LANT-0057 Unified Cloud Printing - The Government is seeking DoD compliant Cloud Print and Print Management solutions. 19-LANT-0058 Tactical Edge Computing - The Government is seeking a portable and scalable on-premise tactical edge computing platform with features and capabilities similar to modern on-premise cloud environments. The solution can use software and applications designed for the cloud and provide a means to deploy that same software without modification into a highly-portable and rugged solution suitable for expeditionary and austere environments. 19-LANT-0059 Data Science for NRDE - The Government requires a leadership dashboard capability that exploits external or public data sources as appropriate, and showcases data science technologies, to provide accurate and reliable information relevant to the strategic management of the Naval Research and Development Establishment (NR&DE). 19-LANT-0060 Data Integration for NRDE - The Government requires prototypes of modern data science and integration technologies and processes to exploit existing internal data sources, presented in an executive dashboard capability, for the strategic management of the Naval Research and Development Establishment (NR&DE). 19-LANT-0061 SysML Prototype - The objective of this prototype is to demonstrate the functionality of system-based modeling and simulation tools to model requirements artifacts and processes. The solution must adequately identify where requirements, including the interface requirements, are satisfied by a design. 19-LANT-0062 Enterprise Capability Integration Planning (ECIP) Process - The Government requires an Enterprise Capability Integration Planning (ECIP) process, which will aid in the development and maintenance of a short- and long-range plan for a capability-based approach to developing, testing, certifying, implementing, and sustaining capabilities for several Programs of Record across multiple fleet assets. 19-PAC-0063 Condition Based Maintenance Algorithms - This task is to perform data analytics / predictive algorithm infrastructure development to enhance the Condition- Based Maintenance+ (CBM+) capability for aircraft. CBM+ seeks to leverage multiple, disparate data sources to predict specific component failures and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) based upon various, dynamic condition indicators encoded in the data collected on- board the aircraft. 19-LANT-0064 Wide Area Network The Government desires to create a prototype for a next-generation Wide Area Network (WAN) to support cloud computing and software defined data center (SDDC) efforts. The WAN will serve as a Tier 0 (zero) underlay network, connecting multiple, geographically distinct work centers together. 19-LANT-0065 Distributed Combat Systems Adjunct Processor The Government desires a prototype based on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Cloud Services style components that will be scaled to fit on forward platforms. The Adjunct Processor System shall receive sensor inputs and system data from legacy Electronic Warfare (EW) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensors and legacy combat systems. The prototype also interfaces with Communications as a Service (CaaS) capabilities to allow data exchange between platforms and from platforms to remoted shore stations. 19-PAC-0066 Additive Manufacturing Print Validation - The goal of this research project is to develop an automated process to validate that the physical end use Additive Manufactured (AM) part meets the expected requirements from the Technical Data Package (TDP) that was used to create it. The ideal solution should allow a marine or sailor in the field to rapidly identify that the part physically created matches the technical data inputted. 19-LANT-0067 Cloud Native Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) - provide an alternative Cloud Native SCCA solution to the Navy Cloud Access Point. 19-LANT-0068 Data Visualization and Modeling - Develop a proof of concept data visualization which enables team knowledge and tools to support visualizing system device data to inform designs, sustainment, and other decisions; respond to and assess impacts of system changes, authorized outages, and general data calls; Improve ability to better design, manage, and document the system. 19-LANT-0069 Adapting Design for Additive Manufacturing Design an additively manufactured (AM) replacement bracket utilizing modeling and simulation techniques suited for AM. The techniques, methods, approaches, and workflows used to design the AM replacement will be analyzed to determine the steps necessary to better incorporate additive manufacturing design into current processes and workflows. 19-LANT-0070 4GLTE 5G - The goal of this effort is to produce a prototype of a modified commercial off-the-shelf (COTs) system with 4G LTE and 5G technologies that will translate into a militarized assured communication system. The system will allow the operator to "communicate securely" with a LTE/4G/5G/WiFi/Bluetooth air bending sleeve.
