- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. OVERVIEW The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find Architect/Engineer services to include: Site investigation, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Civil, Elevator Designers and Consultants, Environmental survey (lead, asbestos, mold identification, etc.), Construction drawings and specifications, Third party construction estimates, Construction period services, Air monitoring during abatement, Construction Inspections, Conduct Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) in conjunction with VA Safety/Infection Control staff as required to Repair Precast for Various Buildings for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton VA 23667. The Estimate Cost of Construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The proposed NAICS 541310 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $7.5Million. SCOPE OF WORK The A/E shall provide a complete condition assessment of all exterior precast concrete and copings stones on buildings 110, 110A, 110B, 135, 146, 148T and 15. The assessment shall include structural condition, soil and staining, mortar and caulking joints and metal cap flashings. A determination shall be made on areas to be cleaned and sealed, areas to be sealed, joints to be removed and replaced with flexible materials, metal cap flashing to be replaced and metal cap flashings to be installed over deteriorated coping stones after joints are replaced. In addition, several any dryvit panels will be replaced by precast and areas on the water side of B-110 where precast has been removed by past construction shall be replaced to match the existing building profiles. Design shall comply with VA guidelines and specifications. Design manuals and specifications can be found at http://www.cfm.va.gov/TIL/. Proposed work is located at Hampton VA Medical Center.
